đâ€ïž Blessed Sunday everyone! â€ïžđ
What a beautiful and heartwarming sight to see these lovely Assyrian Christian school children chanting the Lord's Prayer (Abun d'Bashmayo) in Aramaic. Their voices carry not only faith and devotion but also the rich heritage of one of the world's oldest living languages. âïžđïž
Aramaic holds a special place in history as the language spoken by our Lord Jesus Christ and was adopted as an official language of the Neo-Assyrian Empire by King Tiglath-Pileser III (745â727 BC). Over time, it became the lingua franca of the Near East and Mesopotamia for nearly 2,000 years. đđïž
Today, Aramaic is sadly an endangered language. Many Assyrian Christians who still speak Aramaic have been forced to flee their ancestral homelands due to decades of persecution, war, and violence, including the devastating attacks carried out by ISIS and other extremist groups. đ
Before 2003, more than 2 million Assyrian Christians lived across Iraq and Syria. Today, only a small fraction remain, with estimates often placing the number at around 200,000. As these ancient communities continue to shrink and become scattered across the world, there is a growing risk that the Aramaic language and the rich heritage it carries could gradually disappear. đïž
That is why seeing these children pray in Aramaic is so inspiring and important. They are not only preserving a language but also keeping alive a rich history, culture, faith, and identity that has survived for thousands of years despite enormous challenges. đâš
May God bless these wonderful children, their families, and all those working to preserve the Aramaic language and Assyrian heritage for future generations. đâ€ïž Long live the Aramaic language! Long live the Assyrian people and their ancient heritage!

103-year-old Father Gioele Schiavella is among the oldest priests still actively serving in the Vatican. A member of the Augustinian Order, he was ordained to the priesthood on July 15, 1945, shortly after the end of the Second World War, at just 22 years of age.
Cindy Collins had multiple abortions.
But after she found Jesus, Cindy started a pro-life pregnancy center.
And she has helped save 38,000 babies from abortion!
As an abused and broken young woman, Cindy Collins aborted several of her unborn babies.
Forty years later, her life is dedicated to saving the unborn, telling her story to lawmakers and judges, and running ministries to help families in crisis.
âItâs time for our voices to be heard,â she says. âI will continue to testify because itâs important that people understand abortion destroys, not empowers. It leaves broken lives in its wake. We must be courageous to stand for life.â
Collins was one of several women who shared their testimonies as part of the monumental Dobbs v. Jackson case, which led to the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
After nearly 50 years of abortion on demand, states now may protect unborn babies from abortion again and their laws are saving babiesâ lives.
For Collins, she hopes to help other women avoid the pain, regret and loss of abortion that she knows all too well.
When she was a 19-year-old college student, she became pregnant for the first time. Sexually abused as a child, she said she could not go home to her parents. Then, her roommate suggested going to Planned Parenthood for âhelp.â
âOnce there, they told me my baby was just a clump of tissue,â Collins said. âWe were given the option of going to D.C. or New York to have the abortion.â
At the Washington, D.C. abortion facility, she remembered the abortion being painful and the abortionist as âcoldâ and âanonymous.â Collins broke up with her boyfriend soon afterward.
âI knew our relationship had changed the moment I walked out the door of the clinic,â she said. âThe act of sex had created our child but also resulted in the worst pain when we decided to kill our baby through abortion.â
Her life continued to spiral downward. She said she dropped out of college and began abusing drugs and alcohol, developed an eating disorder and entered into abusive relationships. Collins said she got pregnant several more times and had several more abortions, including one that could have killed her as well as her child, the report continues.
â⊠during one of my abortions, baby parts were left inside of me because of a botched abortion,â she said. âBut the clinic wasnât concerned, they told me to go home. I ended up in the emergency room.â
Years later, Collins said a friend invited her to church, and she repented and accepted Christ into her heart. Later, a pastor helped her work through the pain and trauma of her abortions, and she eventually felt convicted to begin helping other women and babies. In 1986, she founded a pregnancy resource center in New Orleans to provide counseling and material support to families in need, according to the report.
âGuided by the Christian Action Council, the center has helped over 40,000 women and has saved 38,000 babies to-date,â she said.
Later, she also created the organization Speak Hope, an outreach to offer hope and healing to abuse victims and post-abortive women.
Through Christ, Collins said she found forgiveness and peace, and she wants to help other hurting women find that, too.
I am so glad that you asked this question. This is one of my favorite things to witness.
So, I was away from the church for about 20 years, and that is a lot of sin to atone for. Fornication, leading others astray, denying the Holy Spirit, committing blasphemies. Heck, at one point I even desecrated a Bible and uploaded it to YouTube.
So what I wound up doing was taking one of those examination of conscience booklets, and after doing the suggested meditations and prayers, I put a little X next to every sin that I could recall committing â and this thing looked like a grocery list by the end.
So I contacted the local priest and explained my situation â that I was returning to the Catholic Church after being away for such a long time, and that I would appreciate having a private confession period.
And so Father John, my priest, arranged to open the confessional to hear my private confession one day during the week.
Obviously, I was really nervous. I hadn't been to confession in nearly two decades, and I scarcely even remembered how to do it. So, I am very glad that I had that examination of conscience booklet that gave me explicit instructions on how to do it.
So I went into the confessional, got on my knees, and said, "Bless me, Father, for I have sinned; it's been nearly 20 years since my last confession."
Then I just rattled off the list.
After I was done, I was of course very nervous. What was this man going to say? And how many hours of community service was I going to have to do in order to make up for all the debauchery in my life?
He said to me, "That was a very good confession...." and then told me of God's love and mercy, and how through Christ's sacrifice on the cross I am washed of my sins...
And then he said, "For your penance, I would like you to attend Mass tomorrow and receive the Eucharist." I think you referred to it as Penitential Communion.
And then he told me, "Welcome back" and "Go in Christ's peace."
Obviously, that had a lasting effect on me â and I will spend the rest of my life trying to become worthy of that mercy. I know I can't get there alone, but through the grace of God and the body of Christ.
And that's it.
Itâs been 109 days since our world came to a sudden stop.
Since then, there have been countless surgeries, endless sleepless nights, and a long road of small steps forward mixed with a few steps back. No one was prepared for that tragic day. The panic, the confusion, and the terrifying uncertainty about our little girlâs future.
Today, I want to say how incredibly proud I am of you, my Maya Bear. Your fire and strength are what keep me going every single day. You are an inspiration to so many, but youâre my hero most of all.
People often tell Cia and I how strong we seem and how well weâre holding it together. The truth is, Iâm still broken, depressed, and exhausted. There are days when a simple memory of you pops up on my phone and the tears stream down my face. But when I see how strong and resilient you are, I know I have to be strong for you too.
Weâre making slow but steady progress. Some days are better than others, but weâre moving forward together. Weâve been enjoying walks outside, taking in the fresh air and watching the animals scurrying around. In therapy, youâve been working hard! standing with support, engaging your core more, holding your head up a little longer, and even sitting on the edge of the bed with minimal help. Youâve also started showing signs of swallowing liquids again (orange Gatorade is still your favorite, of course). Your hockey tournament drink of choice!
Weâre seeing more engagement when we ask you to do things too. Itâs a long road ahead, but weâre ready for the journey however long it takes.
I love you so much, my Maya Bear â€ïž. Daddyâs right here with you.
A EUCHARISTIC HOST BEGAN BLEEDING AND IT HAS NEVER STOPPED FOR 730 YEARS
In 1263, a German priest doubting the Real Presence was celebrating Mass in Bolsena, Italy, when the host began dripping blood onto the corporal. The relic was rushed to Pope Urban IV in Orvieto.
He commissioned Saint Thomas Aquinas to write Corpus Christi, the very feast we still celebrate today.
The blood stained corporal is preserved in Orvieto Cathedral. Scientists have confirmed the stains are human blood.
Jesus is not a symbol. He is present. Have you visited Him today?

BLESSED ALEXANDRINA DA COSTA
She had no stomach, no intestines, and lived for 11 years on the Eucharist alone.
Blessed Alexandrina da Costa of Portugal (1904â1955) consumed nothing but Holy Communion from 1942 until her death. Doctors placed her under strict medical observation for 40 days and confirmed she took no other food or liquid.
They could not explain it.
The Church could: she was living the words of Christ, âMy flesh is true food.â
Pope John Paul II beatified her in 2004.
When did you last receive Communion with full faith in what you were receiving? đ
HEARTBREAKING: Her 10-month-old baby was cut in half with a knife in front of her, her husband shot dead, and she watched them split her second child's skull with a machete. They also cut off one of her hands.
This is life for Christians in Nigeria. The media remains silent.
24 weeks. 650 grams. Fully formed, completely unique, and fighting for life. Imagine looking at this miracle and trying to argue that they arenât a human being.
This is the exact stage of development where the abortion industry still fights for the ârightâ to end the lives of preborn babies. The abortion lobby loves to use detached, medicalized jargon to pretend that a baby at this stage is just a âpotentialâ life, but basic biology doesnât care about corporate marketing scripts. If a baby can survive outside the womb with medical care, how can anyone look at them and argue they donât deserve the right to life inside it?
Letâs stop playing word games to protect corporate profit and start protecting the most vulnerable among us. Life is life.
