Real Madrid, in the person of its president Florentino Pérez, has informed his old friend and fellow board member of Bayern Munich, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, that the club’s widely discussed interest in winger Michael Olise is never intended to culminate in an actual transfer. Instead, the operation forms part of a broader strategy designed to generate excitement among supporters ahead of Florentino Pérez’s presidential election, project ambition and dominate the media cycle without ever committing the financial resources required to complete such a deal.
Bayern Munich are fully involved in the arrangement and view it favourably, believing that sustained links between the world’s biggest clubs and their star player will further elevate his profile and, in turn, increase his perceived market value for sponsorship deals. The expectation is that the story will run its course, with an apparent bid dominating the media cycle as early as next week, before ultimately ending with Bayern Munich portrayed as unwilling to sell, allowing all parties to benefit from the publicity while preserving the status quo.
@beta_tinz SAD BUT THIS IS THE REALITY.
It’s not about the treatment/procedure but it’s about which gives more money.
Doctors would prescribe the most expensive treatments or procedures inorder to make money and if you try to counter they’ll tell you how do you think workers are paid.
Cameroonians tried. They went to the polls and voted Biya out of office by overwhelming numbers last October.
After Biya stole the election, Cameroonians took to the streets. Dozens were killed, thousands arrested and are still in prison today. One main opposition leader died while in custody. The winner of the election is in exile in Gambia.
This constitutional change was introduced on a holiday, voted on the next day, by a parliament whose terms expired last year. Of the 380 eligible legislators, only 222 actually voted. (200 in favor - 52.6%). Meaning many many legislators simply didn’t show up.
Biya has changed the Constitution so many times, whenever it suited him, that it no longer means anything. He has turned it into a simple tool for keeping power.
