The realization is that our gifts are blessings from God given to us in raw form. The parable also shows that it is not how many talents we are blessed with but it is how we use those talents. It’s a reminder that if talents/gifts are wasted ,someone else will put them to use.

Having talent is meaningless if not cultivated and used. God has given us talents and gifts , it’s almost an insult not to use the gifts he’s given us. We often go through life viewing our gifts as normal but others view our gifts as supernatural.

A prime example :
What if the tree decides not to produce fruit?
Those who eat of the tree begin to starve. Your gifts/talents are able to inspire and even motivate others to cultivate their gift. It causes others to pull towards their gift/talent and adapt it into their own.
