@Kimmie219 Mine wasn’t dirty though. Lots of books for students, and art supplies and science materials, LEGO robotics, etc. I still bet she didn’t want to deal with it.
@Kimmie219 The school owned the stuff, and my principal told me to leave it for the next 5th grade teacher- then he put a 2nd grade teacher in there and she had to clean it out. I felt terrible but left due to this kind of bullshit among other reasons, also was told nowhere else to store.
Many websites post these descriptors in brackets for readers and other devices to pick up so blind folks can have understanding about what is in front of them. They were trying to include the blind folks at the DISABILITY discussion.
I’m putting this here so more people can understand. This was an event for people with disabilities. My daughter is legally blind. These intros were typical of websites etc giving blind people a description of setting.
@greg_price11 Mom of blind person here. It’s what accessible websites do for blind folks using readers. It was a disabilities event so the blind members of the audience were given a live description of the setting. It is rarely done but I bet was the intention by organizers.
@janetifimust @CarrieCraftgeek I was a teacher and knit through soooo many meetings. Eventually started teaching my 5th graders and irritated others because it “wasn’t important.” It helped cam those kids like nothing else.
@kimmontague My son had a class that gave extra credit if you did the fundraiser where you give a company your relatives email addresses and they harass them for money. He and his friends all exchanged parent junk emails and entered the same lists.
@SCTEACHERTweets @SCforEd I left bc teachers aren’t trusted as experts. Decisions were being made that we all knew were against researched based best practices but were implemented anyway. All creativity within the art of teaching were systematically shut down and unnec. Actions replaced it.
@fosterhood My kid once got in big trouble on his first day of school when first moved in. He was in tears, not for being in trouble but bc he thought we would send him back. Told him it was impossible bc we already loved him. So he stopped calling me Ms Dawson and used Kelly. Baby steps.
@stepville Literally when I met him at school registration something just told me I was going to marry him. He wasn’t what I expected at all. I was 16 and told myself it was nuts to believe it. 51 now and married 30 years.
