This is the strongest part of the case.
Saka is not a natural striker.
As CHF Left, he starts with red role familiarity.
And still:
W Left → 432 G/A, 7.37
IF Left → 492 G/A, 7.47
IF Right → 596 G/A, 7.65
CHF Left → 554 G/A, 7.85
IF Right gives more raw output.
CHF Left gives the best rating.
That is why role labels alone are not enough.
Zone, foot, familiarity and player profile all matter.

Working on a Vincenzo Italiano control-possession setup in FM26.
The Arsenal version already showed very strong signs:
🏆 Premier League champions
🥈 Champions League runner-up
📊 92 points
⚽ 92 goals scored
🧱 33 conceded
📈 57% average possession
The idea is not full meta.
It is about rotations, wide progression, central support and controlled aggression.
And since Italiano has just been appointed by Besiktas...
a real Besiktas solo-shot has to happen next :P

The Complete FM26 Set Pieces Guide is out.
Corners.
Free kicks.
Throw-ins.
Set pieces matter because they reduce RNG and give you more control over one of the most important parts of FM26.

New FM26 Meta Roles Ranking is live.
This one focuses on Out of Possession Central Roles.
How much do central roles really help your defensive structure?
This ranking looks at:
pressing behaviour
defensive positioning
central compactness
tracking
stability without the ball
It is my way of ranking the roles based on how they actually behave inside FM26, not only how they look on paper.

FM26 Francesco Farioli 4-3-3 Recreation with Ajax.
After the Porto save, I wanted to see if the same Farioli idea could rewrite the story with Ajax.
Control possession.
Patient circulation.
Rest defence.
Technical security.
🏆 Eredivisie Champions
🏆 Dutch Cup Winners
❌ Champions League Round of 16
📊 92 league points
⚽ 97 league goals
🧱 18 conceded
📈 80% win rate
Key output:
⚽ Kasper Dolberg → 54 goals, 20 assists
🎯 Mika Godts → 27 goals, 27 assists
🎯 Rayane Bounida → 23 goals, 21 assists
Not full meta rushing.
A possession-based recreation that still produced elite attacking numbers.

After the Porto version, I wanted to take the same Farioli idea to Ajax.
Not full meta.
Control possession, patient circulation, rest defence and technical security.
Early signs with Ajax:
📊 5 wins from 5
⚽ 13 goals scored
📈 68% average possession
🎯 92% pass completion
Can we win the league with this Farioli-inspired Ajax?

Working on a Farioli Porto-inspired setup
The league output is already very strong:
🥇 Premier League champions
📊 97 points
⚽ 107 goals scored
🧱 33 goals conceded
📈 63% average possession
It is about control, clean circulation and positional stability.
Tactical breakdown will follow.

FM26 Francesco Farioli 4-3-3 Recreation with FC Porto.
This one actually feels like Farioli.
Not pure meta rushing.
Control possession, patient build-up, rest defence and positional stability.
🏆 Portuguese League
🏆 League Cup
🏆 Portuguese Cup
🥈 Europa League runner-up
📊 91 points
⚽ 115 league goals
🧱 22 conceded
📈 64% possession
🎯 92% pass completion
The best part?
The data matches the visual idea.
The team controls the ball, creates through movement, and still stays protected when possession is lost.

Some visuals from the Farioli Porto-inspired setup.
The visualiser honestly feels a bit weird here, maybe even bugged in some areas.
But the idea is working.
Control possession.
Strong structure.
Good league output.
No need to force full meta options everywhere.
That is the interesting part for me.

FM26 Iraola Bournemouth Adaptation is live.
No simulation.
Real save with Bournemouth.
🥇 Premier League champions
📊 84 points
⚽ 81 goals scored
🧱 40 conceded
📈 68% win rate
📊 70.35 xPTS
The most interesting part was not only winning the league.
It was player fit.
Evanilson clearly suited the system better than Kroupi.
Some players I expected more from never really exploded.
The right wing stayed one of the least productive areas, no matter who played there.
That is why I love save-based tests.
Attributes matter, but roles, movements and tactical environment matter just as much.
Football Manager is not just a collection of numbers.
It is a collection of interactions.

New case added to the FM26 zone/output study.
This time I moved into IF territory.
From the visual, I expected Winger to be the more aggressive role.
But data-wise, the IF side changed the front three much more.
The strongest signal is Saka.
Move him from one side to the other, let him cut inside, and his output jumps in a way I’ve barely seen from anyone else in FM26.
That’s why zone + role + foot matters.
Martinelli still has not really exploded as W or IF in the same way, so the next step is clear:
IF + CHF + IF
Then Saka as left CHF.
The shape itself does not die.
The output changes because the players, zones and roles change.

In FM26, wide roles usually create more than they score.
Even Saka, with elite pace and acceleration, still behaves more like a creator from wide areas.
That matters when recreating players like Ronaldo, Rooney or Tevez.
You don’t copy the position.
You translate the function.

FM26 Iraola Liverpool Adaptation is live.
If the rumours are true, this was the question:
How would Iraola’s system work with Liverpool?
No simulation.
Real save.
🥇 Premier League champions
🏆 FA Cup winners
🏆 Community Shield winners
🌍 UCL final reached
📊 100 points
⚽ 120 goals scored
🧱 33 conceded
Aggressive, direct, vertical.
But still structured.
And Isak was absurd:
⚽ 66 goals
🎯 18 assists
⭐ 7.77 average rating
