“Joseph Smith, the Prophet and Seer of the Lord, has done more, save Jesus only, for the salvation of men in this world, than any other man that ever lived in it” (Doctrine and Covenants 135:3).
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is sometimes known as a family-centered church. It is!
Recently, Kristen and I hosted a special visit with several of our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. We cherish the opportunity to spend time together. Moments like these remind us that families are central to Heavenly Father’s plan for His children.
The family circle is the ideal place to demonstrate and learn eternal values, such as the importance of marriage and children, the purpose of life, and the true source of joy. It is also the best place to learn other essential lessons of life, such as kindness, forgiveness, self-control, and the value of education and honest work.
As we follow Jesus Christ, our homes can become places of faith, love, and belonging. I give thanks to my Heavenly Father for the wonderful family with which He has blessed me.
Excited for the opportunity to make it to a World Cup match! Environment has been unreal. Very impressed with this event. A sports bucket list item checked off ✅ Morocco-Haiti in Atlanta!
Missionary work is soaring to new heights. We are days away from the opening of 55 new missions. This brings the total number of missions to 506. There is a total of over 87,000 full-time missionaries. And we are currently being reinforced by the first wave of 18-year-old sisters beginning their service.
In coming weeks, we will have the largest number of full-time missionaries in the history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
These missionaries’ first responsibility is to testify of Jesus Christ to a world that suffers without knowledge of His divine mission. They invite people across the globe to become part of His true and living Church.
I affirm my testimony of Jesus Christ and the truth of His gospel. The Holy Ghost has given me a witness of its truthfulness, and I rejoice that I can spend my life in proclaiming it.
The Savior has commanded each of us to love God and to love our neighbor. We are grateful for the faithful efforts of members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who strive to fulfill this divine commandment. Their service is a witness of discipleship.
My counselors in the First Presidency and I recently visited the Church’s new humanitarian center in Salt Lake City. This facility will serve an important role in preparing and distributing emergency supplies to meet global needs.
I express appreciation for members of the Church and for all who minister in quiet and consistent ways. I testify of Jesus Christ, whose light and Spirit guide the children of God in caring for the poor and the distressed throughout the world.
May we each accept and act upon this sacred responsibility to bless the lives of all of our Father’s children.
President D. Todd Christofferson,(@ChristoffDTodd) Second Counselor in the First Prsidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will dedicate the Yorba Linda California Temple on Sunday, June 7, 2026.
The dedication ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. and will be broadcast to all congregations within the temple district.
The public has been invited to tour the sacred structure since April 30. The open house concludes on May 23.

Our Savior Jesus Christ taught us how to relate to one another. The great commandments in the law, He taught, were to love—God and neighbor. (Matthew 22:37-39)
As I mentioned during my general conference address Sunday morning, followers of Christ should follow Him by forgoing contention and by using the language and methods of peacemakers. In our families and other personal relationships, let us avoid what is harsh and hateful. Let us seek to be holy, like our Savior.
“Our emphasis at Easter encompasses the eternity shaping events that occurred in the Garden of Gethsemane, on the cross at Calvary, and in the Garden Tomb where Jesus Christ was resurrected.” — Elder Quentin L. Cook (@CookQuentinL) #GeneralConference
Jesus Christ walking with His disciples on the road to Emmaus reveals a covenant pattern. Sometimes, on our dusty roads to Emmaus, we feel alone, misunderstood, burdened, unseen. But as He “talk[s] with us by the way,” His words in scripture can cause our hearts to burn.
As He breaks and blesses the sacramental bread, His ordinances and covenants can help us know Him.
As we walk by faith with Him, abiding in Him, and Him in us, we come to know He lives. His Easter promises are real. #GeneralConference #GreaterLove
“When we have a question, problem, or joy, Jesus Christ says, I am your answer—your way, your truth, your life.” — Elder Gerrit W. Gong (@GerritWGong) #GeneralConference
Truly, Jesus Christ is the way to peace in this world, and eternal life in the world to come. He knows and loves each of us perfectly, and invites us to walk with Him, abide in Him, and follow His example of ministering to others one by one in charity and love.
We have been reminded of the central role of marriage and families in our Heavenly Father’s plan for the eternal destiny of His children. May we demonstrate the pure love of Christ in our families, in our communities, and in all of our interactions with God’s children.
