@JoshuaBarzon I feel like he has the “Jim Carey” effect viz. People either love him or dislike him. Few are in the “mushy middle”. I personally think his gospel centered, contextualizing, tri-perspectival framework with a city focus is unique and did way more good for the gospel than harm.
@ryanschatz@autocorrect2_0@JoelWebbon@dalepartridge I agree with him and also think that we do need more irenic complementarians that have a gentleness without losing conviction. Do you think that people should leave their complementarian church?
@MrBeast That kind of money would likely bring out the worst in me so I’d give the 90% of the $50k per month for life to reputable causes then keep the 10% for my baby girl’s education and / or business fund.
Our hearts are heavy, yet rejoicing, as we share the news that our beloved pastor and teacher John MacArthur has entered into the presence of the Savior. This evening, his faith became sight. He faithfully endured until his race was run.

Pilgrims Progress, Valley of vision, Paradise Lost , and any collection of Spurgeons sermons
@Jihoz_Axie “Existence before the essence” is free will existentialism’s cry, meaning what we choose determines who we are. This flipped classical philosophy, theology and even some scientific thought on its head where “essence is before existence” viz. who we are determines what we choose.
The Christian Super Bowl Ad They SHOULD Have Made
A group known as 'He Gets Us' released an advert during the Super Bowl which, whilst perhaps well intentioned, failed to convey anything of the gospel to the hundreds of millions who saw it.
Here's my take on what they should have done.
#HeSavesUs
I've been listening to the @joerogan Experience for over a decade now, and have observed his transformation from militant Atheist to... Well, you'll see.

@Rach4Patriarchy The Protestant reformation and it’s roots where not radical egalitarian but radical complementarian. This is based on the assumption of Sola Scriptura and exegesis of holy writ. Female pastors tend to be a consequence from the rejection of both.
The Beating Heart of Psalm 23
Psalm 23 has 55 Hebrew words in it. What’s fascinating is what forms the numerical center of this psalm.
At the heart of Psalm 23 are the words, “For Thou art with me.”
There are 26 Hebrew words before that phrase, and 26 words after it.
What’s more, in the verses leading up to that phrase, the poet speaks of God in the third person: “he” does this and “he” does that.
But when we get to this numerical center, the psalmist transitions into speaking to God directly, in the second person: for “Thou” art with me, “Thy” rod and staff, “Thou” dost prepare.
The abiding presence of the Shepherd with us—whether we’re in the valley of the shadow of death or surrounded by enemies—is the beating heart of the poem.
