"The YOUNG people can ALSO SERVE and help KENYA." ~ Ethiopia's PM, Abiy Ahmed electric Speech at Kipchoge Keino Stadium for the Mashujaa Day Celebrations
Today, I had the honour of attending Mashujaa Day in Eldoret, Kenya, where I delivered remarks paying tribute to the heroes who fought for freedom and those who made the ultimate sacrifices to safeguard their nation. I honour their courage and legacy!
Kenya’s history of courage and sacrifice resonates deeply with Ethiopia’s own story of Adwa, where Ethiopians from every corner of the country united to defend their homeland. These shared histories remind us that freedom was never given; it was won through courage, unity, and sacrifice.
As our histories are intertwined, so too must our futures be. Through the spirit of Medemer, Ethiopia and Kenya must continue building on our existing cooperation in clean energy, connectivity, telecommunications, and trade to create greater opportunities and shared prosperity for our people.
To all those honoured today, I salute you. Happy Mashujaa Day!

An #Ethiopian protest blocked the road at Oxford Circus in #London. Tensions escalated after one protester confronted a driver who honked his horn, leading to an aggressive exchange. Security personnel rushed in to intervene and prevent the situation from becoming potentially dangerous.

As the rightful owners of the Nile, control of the flow lies entirely in our hands. We will utilize or withhold our water as we see fit, and no external power can dictate terms to Ethiopia!
Had a fruitful and constructive call with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel to deliberate upon bilateral relations and key regional developments, reaffirming our commitment to cooperation on matters of mutual interest.

A country of 120 million people building and equipping a port gives Ethiopia significant leverage. You can charge them an arm and a leg, while ensuring Eritrea also uses the port. But these things can be negotiated.

Congo is too dangerous to cross!”
Meanwhile, local Congolese: “Bro, we cross this river every day. Please continue with your expedition.”
Congo is not a movie set people actually live, work, travel and enjoy life there.
