Thomas Smith Fasteners recently supplied a customer in Peru, South America, with special alloy 32750 fasteners in imperial sizes. The customer specified a delivery requirement of 6 weeks, and the material must be of EU origin with mill certs.

Recently, we supplied BSW fasteners for the second overhaul of a 2' gauge steam locomotive at the Golden Valley Light Railway. Built in 1997 as a retirement project, this locomotive is a great example of traditional steam engineering.

Our Glasgow branch was recently tasked with supplying 24 grade B7 Stud Bolts for use with special pipework to an engineering customer.

These special bolts are quite large at 2 ½ x 500 with 8UN thread! They were manufactured and paired with 2H nuts.
