I landed in Cape Town at 21:30pm last night. It was truly worth it. The #Sanlam Cape Town Marathon was superb. Thanks to @sanlam , @CityofCT , the MANY supporters along the way, marshals, metro cops. What a splendid race. A lot of us were using it as a last training run before Comrades.

But for me, running a race at home after 7 years (I did a long run recently but not a marathon.) was so special. I have done a lot of international marathons. South Africa REALLY knows how to organize them!! The vibe! The logistics! This Marathon deserves its place in the Abbot World Marathon Majors. Good luck Kaapstad! What a glorious day. Now heading back to the world of work!
