#sapsFS [REDDERSBURG SAPS SEEK ASSISTANCE IN IDENTIFYING DECEASED HIT-AND-RUN VICTIM]

#SAPS in Reddersburg are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying an unknown man who lost his life in a tragic pedestrian accident on the N6 highway earlier this month.

​On 12/06 at approximately 18:30, Reddersburg police were dispatched to an accident scene on the N6 road, roughly 15 kilometres outside of Reddersburg towards Bloemfontein.

​Upon arrival, emergency services and police officers discovered the body of an unknown male, estimated to be between 35 and 40 years old. The victim had been struck by a truck and was unfortunately declared deceased at the scene.

Initial reports and local inquiries indicate that the deceased was frequently spotted walking along the side of the N6 road and was known to sleep in the nearby veld alongside the highway. The victim has tattoos on the right arm (as in picture)

​A case of Culpable Homicide has been registered for further investigation. Police are urging anyone who might have a missing family member matching this description, or anyone who can assist in tracing the victim's next of kin, to urgently come forward.
