@KathrynTappen I miss your professionalism and insight as a studio host for the NHL. Just putting random ex-athletes together does not make a great show. You deserve more than a minor golf assignment.
I was asked this weekend how I feel about "Google Warriors" that I may encounter in my medical practice. My mind immediately flashed to the "don't confuse your Google search with my medical degree" signs and the clever response that many disabled and chronically ill folks give:
@DrPoorman I cancelled ours last night. It was a tough decision, but just too risky for everyone involved. We are going to try to reschedule later in the winter when hopefully things will be better (or at least not spiraling out of control).
Dr Adeline Fagan MD was a 28 yo OB/GYN resident who died from #COVID19

@sangfroyd@WesPegden@EpiEllie@zenbreeze Don't overlook that death isn't the only outcome. It's not all-or-nothing for COVID. There's intubation, kidney damage, lung damage and a whole host of other nasty outcomes from the virus. Mortality numbers aren't the only thing to take into consideration.
@mmpadellan For those looking to home school this year, be sure to check with your local district. There are usually forms to fill out, including a curriculum plan, that must be approved. This varies by state, but the sooner you look into this, the better.
Median age of new Covid cases in outbreak states continues to decline. In Florida, median age fell from 65 in March to 35 last week. Some of trend reflects testing moving away from hospitals (where older individuals are more likely to present) and into community. h/t @DKThomp
At 17 I joined the Marine Corps and deployed to Iraq twice by the age of 21. I am now 100% VA disabled since the age of 25. I suffer unimaginable physical and mental pain daily. If you refuse to #WearAMask never call yourself a patriot or thank a vet, your words mean nothing.
This is a great nuts and bolts piece by an actual IMMUNOLOGIST (@ErinBromage). Understand that viral transmission = dose + time. Reduce contact but also keep potential exposure times *brief* https://t.co/saXtRZloiB
