@noinconsistency ps depending on how far back your browser history goes back you could try filtering for all links that go to a twitter profile then manually searching
@Starshinefallng it is scary but not as scary as everyone is fearmongering it to be. update your browser and system then youll be fine. every website that went down has already fixed the PHP issue, you dont have to do anything with that
@katehepburns@valiskia i dont think theres a way to edit trusted certs by yourself on ios, so i think you either have to update / upgrade, or you have to avoid public wifi. it shouldnt be an issue in private, password protected networks
The Laughing Cow says its mascot stopped laughing because people are taking everyday disagreements too seriously
This is the first time the mascot has stopped laughing in over 100 years
@meduise@SH1FTTKEY@valiskia sobb thats not good. you can either update, or just avoid public wifi if you want to be the most safe. password protected wifi should be fine i believe, assuming no one with ill intent has access to it
@SH1FTTKEY@valiskia it means all the certs are invalid except the first one. to be completely safe you want all of them to be invalid. try clearing your browser cache and reloading to check if its perhaps just cached that sites cert
can everyone stop acting like this is doomsday youre gonna freak out everyone who doesnt know whats going on. explain whats happening, explain what this means, explain why no, their twitter account and their computer is not going to be giga hacked
@prisyum it allows remote code execution, so using this bug attackers can make any web server they can get into run any code they want. pretty much the worst possible security issue one could have. they can make any unsafe website do whatever they want
@prisyum 70+% of the internet runs on PHP. most websites will fix the issue quickly so you neednt worry too much, but its a very widespread issue, and any sites with no one to update them will remain at risk forever
lots of non techies learning about "PHP" for the very first time, and i hope all of them come out of this with the conclusion that we should blow it up
@SenatorLuma 3. the websites most people use will update and fix the critical bug quickly (most already have). the real loss is all the old, unmaintained websites with no one to update them. not an internet doomsday, but quite sad to know an old site you like could get hacked at any time
@valiskia im still on ios 18 and my phone is safe. the bad certs were issued in april 2025 so if you havent updated since then im fairly confident youre safe too
