@gliese1337 I don’t know if anyone has looked to answer your question, but I’m personally suspicious that zero-conversion/word-class flexibility is quite common cross-linguistically. Even more synthetic lgs might have it, if you strip away their inflectional morphology.

Do I enjoy the music to _The Force Awakens_ more than the music to _The Last Jedi_ because it’s objectively better music or because I think better of the former film with respect to the latter? The world may never know the true answer.

I picked up a copy of The Grammarian’s Desk (a book about Klingon) and spy the sentence which translates to “It is true than he wants to go.” I immediately think what is the semantic representation of that sentence. LING 433 has ruined me.

It was a bare noun kind of day: semantics of bare nouns in the morning, noun incorporation in the afternoon. But, over dinner, I explained verb-initial and verb-final word order. (The last had nothing to do with bare nouns.)
