@sarataseer Given that the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said that labour should be paid their salary before their sweat has dried. Do you think your family not paying their employees at work would have appealed to him(SAW)?
Glimpses from outside NPC where members of Aurat March Isl, along with civil society groups and activists, gathered in solidarity demanding the release of Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali, who have endured 100 days of imprisonment for standing with the voiceless.

Reform, Labour and the Tories all take money from oil & gas giants and private healthcare interests.
That tells you who they’re really working for.
The Green Party doesn’t take that money. We answer to you - and to the future of our planet.
Vote Green on Thursday. 💚
We forgot about poet Mudassar Naaru who disappeared 8 years ago; his wife Sadaf who died of uncertainty 5 years ago; and their son Sachal, an eight year old orphan. Today, his dadi is forced to ask not only for her son’s freedom, but also for that of his lawyer, Imaan Mazari — the one person who didn’t forget. #ReleaseImaanAndHadi
People who have stood for the voiceless have now been incarcerated for 100 days over a single tweet.
Today it’s them, tomorrow it could be you.
Join us for a press conference for Imaan Mazari Hazir and Hadi Ali Chattha.

“In the Shadow of Iran Diplomacy, Pakistan Bulldozes Hundreds of Homes of the Poor
Days after the American delegation left Islamabad, the city administration unhoused more than 200 families.”
The Green Party Leadership:
A gay Jewish man, a working class Muslim man, a middle class English woman.
We are literally a party of unity. We don’t see division, we only see those seeking to divide us.
Ignore the media, and come and be part of the fastest growing political party in the UK.

Pakistanis really need to get over their obsession with women’s bodies and clothing. It’s disgusting.
Just returning from Jakarta, the capital of the country with the highest population of Muslims and women here are absolutely free to wear whatever they want. I faced ZERO harassment, no cat calling, felt way safer that I have ever felt in my own country. Really shame on you all who continue to be obsessed with our bodies and clothes. Every country whether Muslim or not feels safer than my home country and that should make you all feel some shame.
Receiving some very ill informed comments so here is a quick primer
The katchi abadis case, which began in the Supreme Court with the landmark 2015 stay order against summary evictions, has now moved to the Federal Constitutional Court (FCC). Hearings are ongoing, and activists are urging judges to uphold the constitutional right to housing for the urban poor.
Millions remain in legal limbo, facing constant threats of demolition despite court protections. Pakistan is urbanising at one of the fastest rates in South Asia, with the urban population share nearing 40% as per the 2023 census and urban growth hitting 3.57% annually, far above the national average. Projections suggest it could approach 50% by 2030.
Why this rapid pace? Largely due to dispossession in rural areas - loss of agricultural livelihoods, feudal structures, smallholder fragmentation, climate shocks like floods and droughts, and conflict. People are pushed into cities in search of survival, not just opportunity.
Yet our urban cities, including the capital, make almost no serious effort to create low-income housing. The housing shortage stands at 10+ million units nationwide, with the bulk needed for the poor and working class. Instead, land is systematically used for profiteering, elite real estate projects, gated housing societies, and commercial development.
The state appears unconcerned with the needs of ordinary people. Public planning prioritises high-end margins over affordable shelter. The result is a vicious cycle: rural dispossession fuels urban influx, informal settlements multiply, and authorities respond with evictions rather than solutions.
This isn’t just policy failure. it’s a question of priorities. Land should serve people, not just profit. The FCC has a chance to enforce real change the SC stay, demand affordable housing plans, and push land-use reforms that put the people first.
The oil prices are showing us how important it is to make cities safe and walkable and to have robust public transport system. We need to shift to a transport system which runs on renewables. It’s heart breaking what the people must be going through. If you’re someone who can give, this is the time. Be observant and give to those you see struggling. It’s one way of contributing to the fight against imperialism.
Seven dogs stolen from their owners have gone viral after escaping from an illegal transport truck and making their way home.
They traveled around 17 km together, led by a corgi across highways and fields, now safely back with their respective owners..🐶🐾🥺❤️
