WNBPA president Nneka Ogwumike statement on the agreement:
"For the first time, player salaries are tied to a truly meaningful share of league revenue, driving exponential growth in the salary cap, increasing average compensation beyond half a million dollars, and raising the professional standard across facilities, staffing, and support. It strengthens housing and retirement, and expands resources for family planning and parental leave. It redefines what it means to be a professional in this league."
Unrivaled Basketball generated 45 million in revenue, reached 1.2 billion fans digitally and sold 249% more tickets during its second season.

.@BrettFavre With all due respect to one of the greatest QBs ever — I didn’t grow up knowing where the Packers played, what Lambeau Field was, or why people proudly wear cheese on their heads 🧀😄.
I watched. I learned. And now I get it.
That’s how @NFL football works. And honestly, that’s how the Super Bowl halftime show works too. It’s not about only watching what you already know — it’s about discovering what millions of your fellow Americans already love.
Bad Bunny isn’t “foreign” to the Super Bowl — he is America too 🇺🇸🇵🇷🎶. Different sounds, same country, same game.
The Super Bowl is big enough for frozen fields, cheese hats, country music… and Spanish lyrics.
That’s not losing tradition. That’s America showing how big the tent really is. 🏈❤️
And you should try Tembleque, Alcapurrias and Mofongo! Don’t be sad, be happy!
Individually, A'ja Wilson and Dawn Staley are undeniable legends.⚡
@dawnstaley has guided hundreds of athletes to greatness as the head coach of women's basketball at the University of South Carolina. #AjaWilson was integral to the team winning its first national championship in 2017–and is a four-time WNBA MVP & two-time Olympic Gold Medalist. Last night, A’ja powered the @LVAcesback to the WNBA Finals with a 35-point, all-around performance that made history. She also tied the record for most 30-point playoff games.
Together, they are even greater, and more powerful.
As it turns out, their coach-athlete origin story goes back even further than their days at South Carolina. It involves a long and rich relationship that persists to this day—one that has carried them into the starring roles they each play now.
We’ll let them tell you all about it in their cover feature, as part of our first-ever Icons of Coaching issue, live at the link and on stands everywhere, 10/14. https://t.co/QSlLsMXP7u
NBA players make 50% of the leagues revenue. WNBA players make about 9% of the leagues revenue. They are not asking for equal pay they are only asking for a larger share of the leagues revenue. Not a hard to grasp.
