everyone talks about tokenized treasuries in RWA but they make up just ~1% of the $2.2B in RWA collateral across Morpho, Kamino and Aave.
meanwhile, credit accounts for ~72% 👀
why such a huge gap? https://t.co/2hpNJnx1ie
robots need more than smarter models to understand the world around them
they need people to capture the places those models cant experience for themselves
thats what makes @vangrid_io worth exploring
🔸 use your phone to capture a real location and turn it into a 3d reconstruction
🔸 faces and license plates are blurred on device before the footage gets uploaded
🔸 1.34m captures recorded, with fingerprints batched and attested on base roughly every 30 minutes
🔸 $670k in usdc escrowed across onchain bounties, where buyers pay for specific locations they need
🔸 $9m raised, with no token launched yet
the demand driven model is the part i find interesting
instead of collecting random footage and hoping its useful, someone can request a specific place and fund the capture
that connects everyday contributors with a growing need for real world spatial data
physical ai has already shown me that this space can create real opportunities
vangrid is the next project im digging into
would you record your own street if you could earn usdc for the capture? 👇
Morning friends, @grvt_io has completed its first buyback and permanently burned 1.1M GRVT, nearly 1% of circulating supply at the time of purchase.
Those tokens can’t be spent later like a treasury balance could. The public dashboard also provides transaction hashes to check the burn. That’s a completed step ahead of the Grvt 2.0 rollout.
Looking at what comes next, I keep thinking about a fairly ordinary situation: you have money ready for a trade, but the entry you want hasn’t arrived.
Monday passes. Then Tuesday. You still haven’t opened a position. Waiting might be the sensible decision, yet keeping capital available can mean giving up the opportunity to earn on it elsewhere.
That’s where Grvt’s earning and trading model gets interesting.
The upgraded Grvt Earn is planned to offer tokenized fixed-income opportunities targeting up to 11% APY on eligible assets. Potential yield comes from underlying cash flows such as interest, premiums and invoices. The target isn’t guaranteed.
With Yield as Margin planned for November, eligible Earn balances could also back trading positions while continuing to generate yield, subject to product terms and risk limits.
The practical benefit would be having fewer reasons to move funds back and forth just to switch between earning and trading.
There’s an access story here too. Grvt describes fixed income as a roughly $160T global market and aims to bring a portion of the strategies traditionally associated with institutional investors to everyday users onchain.
All of this is being built around a self custodial balance, with users controlling their assets through their own keys.
I’d still check withdrawal conditions and collateral eligibility before using it. Yield doesn’t cancel trading losses, and self custody doesn’t remove investment risk.
But giving someone more flexibility with the money they already have available is a useful direction. Sometimes the best trading decision is to wait. The capital behind that decision could potentially keep working.
