There are many reasons why I think trans women shouldn’t disclose their trans identity on the first date such as:

1. Our personal safety is at risk disclosing this to men who may take issue with us being trans
2. It is private medical history and should be treated as such
3. It limits the men we can date! It’s best they get to know us as people first rather than just a “trans woman”

In a sense I completely understand trans women purposely not disclosing the fact they’re trans to their partners or those they’re intimate with. We literally transitioned to become the other gender why would we then bring attention to it and potentially be seen as the very thing we tried to escape from?
