@ranman I think it’s unlikely they’re equal. It’s easy to convince yourself they are because the person you want to hire isn’t the person that was objectively the best in the process. Tell a stuffed animal about all three and see if you have more clarity.
@mvaldesdeleon@donkersgood IMO, the best approach is if the long-lived links are back to your own endpoint (with whatever auth/security you deem appropriate), which then generates a signed URL and redirects. It'll cost you 10ms of compute, but your URL will also make more sense to your users.
@ranman Your first bullet is the reason for micro services. Your next tweet is the reason for being rational and not taking an extreme view of what a microservice is!
@danilop I’ve thought about this for a long time as a great option. Feels like an OSS Lambda@Edge app that integrates with Cognito, AWS SSO, or another idP for auth and manages all the signing, etc, would be a big win for static site hosting on CF+S3.
@ranman@Calendly The OP is making a deal out of something that doesn’t need to be. @Calendly helps avoid a bunch of back and forth to schedule a time. And for most meetings, first come, first served, is just fine. There’s no status flex involved. It’s just a convienent way to share availability.
