And suddenly, I'm not pulling all-nighters farming dandelion seeds in Mondstadt with my friends in 2021 anymore or meeting Childe in Liyue for the first time, but about to wake up to Snezhnaya in 2026, opening Genshin for the first time in years.
“i don’t know, maybe we’re on different paths right now, maybe we’re just going different ways” - “and no offence but you’re wrong about us being on different paths, we’re not on different paths, you’re my path and you’re always gonna be my path”
i think what i loved most abt it is that i was able to find healing for things i’ve endured in the past, but that the themes in the show were ones i was also able to relate to now, and i felt both nostalgia for people i once loved, but yet also reassurance for my future 💓💘
road to success is gonna go down as not only one of my favourite cdramas of this yr, but also as one of my favourite cdramas overall bcs i’ve been so comforted watching it these past few weeks, and it’s been a breath of fresh air to the feelings/experiences i’ve had recently
and it’s the way the universe works mysteriously bcs it’s how every drama i’ve seen of esther’s has always been one where the theme of her drama that i’m watching at the time fits what i’m going through in that exact moment and it’s not lost on me that R2S reflects that again
the concept of me having watched lbfad when it was first released yrs back for dylan but not becoming a fan of esther until i rewatched the series randomly one day in 2024 bcs it was only then that esther resonated with me, and i’ve been supporting her ever since
