@UselesPoliszguy @ConeOfArc Before Ukraine, BAE saw Bradley as a dying program. They had been developing AMPV for a while by then. None of the tooling exists to make Brad hulls, so it’d cost them way more to redevelop everything needed to produce hulls vs just adapt a turret. BAE also no longer owns the TDP

@ConeOfArc Basically they want to be able to sell more vehicles to the US and its allies and the Bradley hulls we have left to rebuild are getting worse and worse year after year and are owned by our government. So it’s easier for them to start over.

@ConeOfArc compartment. AMPV was originally designed be a M113 replacement, but with the success of Bradley in Ukraine and the fact we can’t produce new ones, they figured they could put a turret back on and have a way to basically create the Bradley again and fulfill new orders.
