The Executive Director of the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA), Dr. Barirega Akankwasah, yesterday visited the Kajjansi Wetland, where large-scale illegal activities, mainly the construction of permanent houses, are taking place.

While NEMA has issued restoration orders that could lead to the demolition of more than 100 luxury homes, many Ugandans online have reacted to the move with mixed feelings and skepticism. They are waiting to see whether NEMA will follow through on its promises and take decisive action.

Today marks the 4th day of bus lanes in #Kigali.

Buses are moving faster, and the city is flowing better for everyone. This is a modern, organised, people-centred Kigali.

And this is only the beginning. More bus lanes and better public transport are on the way.

Dedicated bus lanes are now in use on four key corridors across Kigali:
1️⃣ Downtown – Remera (ku Cyamitsingi) via Rwandex and Sonatube
2️⃣ Sonatube – Nyanza ya Kicukiro
3️⃣ Downtown – Nyabugogo via City Centre Roundabout
4️⃣ Hotel Gloria – Downtown via Quartier Commercial
