@Jerry7Y Right before S3 production, IMS Studio suddenly went bankrupt. Kadokawa had to rush JC Staff to finish the entire third season in just two months, which explains its notoriously shoddy animation quality. Thankfully, mishaps like this won’t happen again going forward.

@Jerry7Y Fair point. If Kadokawa’s going all in on this new anime, they can’t cut corners. There’s no point greenlighting the project otherwise. If they still want to make money off the Date A Live franchise, they have to handle it properly.

@Jerry7Y Back then Kadokawa basically tossed S4 & S5 to GoodShow, writing off Date A Live as a dead IP in Japan. But after Season 5 got decent reception, they realized there’s still the final novel arcs left. Now they’ve taken full control to wrap the series up themselves.

@Jerry7Y First off, GoodShow pulled out entirely and won’t fund this new entry. Kadokawa personally locked in Fugaku as the animation studio. This whole final project only exists because Kadokawa wants to wrap up Date A Live properly.

@Jerry7Y Season 3 nearly tanked the entire franchise with shoddy production — Daliangshan had to step in and salvage it. I’m confident they won’t repeat that mistake.

@Jerry7Y Kadokawa wouldn’t bother half-assing Date A Live after committing to wrap it up, they even built a brand-new official site for this anime. Tanking its commercial value with a rushed botched adaptation would just defeat the whole point.

@Jerry7Y Yeah, Date A Live’s never been a huge hit in Japan. Kadokawa’s gotta bankroll all these collabs themselves. This is the grand finale—they won’t rush it out shoddy. If it ends up as messy as S3’s finale, they’ll just ruin the whole franchise.
