Not Congress. Not a wealth tax. Not you. A private company, freely, because paying and keeping good workers is good business.

That's the whole point you keep missing. Costco proves the market rewards productive labor without a single mandate. Their stock is up 2,000% doing it. The "living wage" you want to force already exists where value is freely traded, and it was built by the very system you spend your days attacking.

So what's your actual purpose? Barzar isn't bitter. He's grateful, and proud, and he built a good life.

You'd rather teach the man with less to resent the man with more, when Costco shows there's nothing to resent, only something to aspire to.

"Humans always found ways to survive." At the level of the animal, yes. For nearly all of history men clawed at bare subsistence and died young, because they had not yet freed the one faculty that produces abundance: the reasoning mind.

"Capitalism organized scarcity." You have it exactly reversed. In the two centuries since men were left free to think, trade, and own the product of their effort, extreme poverty collapsed from nine in ten to fewer than one in ten. That is not the organizing of scarcity. It is the unleashing of the human intellect. And where that freedom was denied, the result stands as your answer: Venezuela, rich by nature, reduced by collectivism to men scavenging in refuse.

Your root error is the belief that wealth is a fixed sum, so that one man's gain must be another's loss. But wealth is not seized from a static pile. It is created by the mind, and the creator takes nothing from anyone. The man who invents a value adds it to existence. He does not subtract it from his neighbor.

Today the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 to strike down Trump's order ending birthright citizenship, upholding the 14th Amendment. And much of the right is furious. Ask yourself why.

America was once the melting pot, proud to draw the ambitious from every corner of the earth. Now there is suspicion and anger toward anyone who comes here to build a life. Where did that come from?

It comes from the welfare state. The right cannot defeat it, so they fear that every new arrival is one more claimant who will bankrupt us faster than we are already going bankrupt against $39 trillion in debt. The fear is rational. The conclusion is not.

The answer is not to close the border. It is to end the welfare state. In a nation that protects rights and lets men keep what they produce, you have nothing to fear from those who come here to work, because when they produce, we all gain.

The problem was never that they come to produce. It is that they are promised they can come to collect.

Solving this requires a culture that respects the individual's right to his own life, which neither party understands.

Let's expose what you're really doing with "reconciliation."

You announced it yesterday, eleven months after the House passed the SAVE America Act. You're not trying to pass this bill. You're trying to kill it in a way you can blame on process.

Here's how we know:

Reconciliation requires the Senate parliamentarian to rule that provisions are "budgetary." Citizenship verification is not budgetary. Photo ID mandates are not budgetary. The parliamentarian will gut the bill. Then you'll shrug and say "we tried." We see through you.

Meanwhile, you WON'T use the tools that actually work:

Rule XIX limits each senator to two speeches per legislative day. Keep the Senate in continuous session, file cloture daily, and the filibuster exhausts in ~12-20 days. You dismissed it as "complicated." Because if you tried and succeeded, you'd have to actually pass the bill.

Harry Reid nuked the filibuster in 2013 when he wanted results.

Mitch McConnell changed Senate rules THREE times and canceled the August recess.

Chuck Schumer used reconciliation within months on a 50-50 Senate.

You have 53 seats. You've changed nothing, canceled nothing, and waited eleven months.
