There is a very real risk of foreign interference in Danielle Smith’s referendum this fall. I wrote to CSIS earlier this year and just received the reply. I’m happy they’re taking it seriously and I encourage anyone with evidence of foreign interference to contact them.
And don’t forget that this is all happening in the context of the massive data breach that the Premier and her government keep waving off, even though we now know that your data was stored and available on websites of super-right Trumpian organizations for months.
We need to know how this government is protecting the integrity of this referendum if they are at all.
The provincial government is imposing the largest property tax increase in Calgary’s history.
Calgary families, renters, and seniors are facing more than double the increase of Edmonton.
+$339 per home in Calgary.
+$154 in Edmonton.
Albertans deserve a system that is transparent, balanced, and fair.
Well, the general corporate rate was lowered from Klein-Stelmach-Prentice 12% (still lowest in Cda) to 8% by Kenney, costing probably $5b, and Smith did a personal income tax cut that nobody noticed but cost the Treasury 1-1.5b. So, right there, plus their waste, is lion’s share.
So let’s get this straight.
If Alberta cant balance its budget without increasing g taxes and fees while oil prices are high and oil production volume is highest ever, how is this independent Alberta going to be tax free?
Reality vs. Fantasy

Did you know?
The Provincial government has increased their property taxes on Calgarians by 57% over four years, well above inflation and population growth. They're now imposing the largest property tax hike in Calgary's history with a 21% increase, or about $350 for the typical family. This is MORE THAN DOUBLE what they're asking Edmonton to pay.
Meanwhile, our City Council team cares about affordability. We controlled costs, reduced a 5.4% tax increase to 1.6%, and are delivering on safety and core infrastructure investments.
🚨 Pete Buttigieg nails it:
“In a country that amended the Constitution to ban beer… then fixed it when we realized it was dumb… surely we can amend it again to say corporations aren’t people and money isn’t speech.”
Translation:
We corrected Prohibition.
We can correct Citizens United.
Democracy shouldn’t be for sale.
kind of funny that an olympian said they are here to represent "compassion, respect, love for others" and some people automatically know that's a statement against them
@MondoABx Yes. Canada - average is 2.5 ish acute care beds per 1000 population (low internationally) and Ontario and Alberta are the lowest provinces, in AB Edmonton and Calgary are spread the most thin. We would need 10 hospitals to get to Canadian average, 30 to get to G7 average.
This comparison misunderstands both biology and history.
HIV, cancer, the common cold, and COVID are fundamentally different scientific problems.
HIV mutates extraordinarily fast and attacks the immune system itself, making traditional vaccines uniquely difficult. Despite that, treatments have turned HIV into a manageable chronic condition, and vaccine research continues.
Cancer isn’t one disease — it’s hundreds. There are vaccines that prevent cancers caused by viruses (HPV, Hepatitis B), and new personalized cancer vaccines are already in clinical use.
COVID vaccines weren’t invented “overnight.”
mRNA research dates back to the 1990s, and coronavirus vaccine work accelerated after SARS (2003) and MERS (2012). What happened in 2020 was unprecedented funding, global collaboration, and overlapping trials — not skipped science.
Multiple companies succeeding at once isn’t suspicious when the genome is shared globally and proven platforms already exist.
Policy decisions like mandates are political choices. They’re not evidence that the underlying science is fake.
Comparing unrelated diseases to suggest a conspiracy may feel intuitive, but it’s not how medicine actually works.
🚨BREAKING: NBC reports federal officials are now investigating Renee Good’s widow in the ICE shooting probe, focusing on whether she “impeded” an officer moments before the fatal shot.
So let me get this straight:
They’re not under the microscope for pulling the trigger…
But her wife is for being there.
This is not justice. This is intimidation.
One of my Asian neighbors was stopped by ICE at gunpoint this morning on his run.
Where the average home price is $850k+.
He thankfully wasn't detained, but got to experience what it feels like to have multiple federal agents pointing guns at you, so lucky him.
Did Renee Nicole Good “hit ICE officer Jonathan Ross with her car”?
MAGA: “YES. ABSOLUTELY. CASE-CLOSED. THE END.”
Everyone else: “Absolutely NOT. And the case was never even open.”
This man goes frame-by-frame to definitively settle this.
Please watch and share.
Damn you won't see this in media
Philadelphia Sheriff:
“No law enforcement officer may wear a mask. We will arrest those who wear masks to hide their identity.
If you come to this city and commit a crime, the criminal in the White House cannot keep you from going to prison.”
I am pleased to announce that I have commandeered my neighbor's home. This home will be sold at its Market Price, and that money will be controlled by me, to ensure it is used to the benefit of my neighbor and me! Thank you for your attention to this matter!
Update #18 6am Jan 5
Overnight, our water use slipped further into the redzone. Without changes, we'll enter loss-of-life territory, where firefighting and emergency response may be compromised. This is serious. Reducing use now protects lives and keeps essential services running. Please conserve.
