We're happy to announce that PRWR student Darah Schillinger took first-place n the Columbia Scholastic Press Association's competition for lit journals. Darah's Letter from the Editor, published in 2023's Grub Street, won the "Nonfiction Column" category. Congrats, Darah!
Today we celebrate PRWR student Jasmin Thames, winner of @ncte's Smitherman Award, honoring research about Black languages, literacies, cultures, and/or rhetorics. The committee called Thames research on Black women introverts "engaging, compelling...a worthy contribution"!
