From 2013 to 2022, Chinese construction companies increased their share of construction contracts in Africa from 12% to as much as 31% while the share of Western companies operating in Africa fell from 37% to 25%

The situation began to change in 2013 with the appearance of the famous Chinese initiative "One Belt - One Road", in which Chinese companies began to rapidly take over the African market space from Western competitors 👉 Within this project, China launched several grandiose infrastructure projects in to Africa worth billions of dollars ➡️ Among them are the construction of railway lines in Kenya and Ethiopia, ports 🛳️ in Djibouti and Nigeria ✅
