☀️ Linen trousers are the smartest piece for summer

When the heat really hits, few fabrics can compete with linen. It’s breathable, lightweight, and has natural texture that gives you a really nice elegance.

But not all linen pants are created equal. Here’s what actually matters:

The ideal fabric
Look for 100% linen or a blend with 70-80% linen and the rest cotton. The sweet spot in weight is 180-250 g/m². Too light and they become see-through and wrinkle excessively. Too heavy and they lose their cooling effect.

The perfect cut
Silhouette: Straight or slightly tapered.

Leg width: Wide enough to feel comfortable and drape nicely, but not baggy.

Avoid skinny fits (they’ll make you hotter and look off) and overly wide ones unless you’re very tall.

Good waistband with belt loops (but never use linen with them to looks less formal)

Best colors -> Beige, sand, stone, light olive, light blue, off-white, and pearl grey. They’re versatile and perfect for summer.

How to style them
Smart-casual: linen blazer + white shirt or half-open guayabera + boat shoes or abarcas.
Relaxed but polished: Polo or t shirt + loafers with no socks.
Summer night look: Linen shirt + suede or leather loafers.

Linen trousers get better with wear... the natural wrinkles give them character and personality. Don’t over-iron them; it’s part of the charm.

Well-chosen linen pants can basically carry your entire summer wardrobe with style.
