This is for Patriots fans eyes only. I don’t want to leave anything unsaid before the Super Bowl. So I’m just gonna say this and move on. I think it’s bullshit Tom Brady said he has no dog in the fight for the Super Bowl. It’s pretty obvious he doesn’t give a shit about us anymore so maybe we shouldn’t care about him either. Maybe it was just professional and that’s fine.
Vince Wilfork on Tom Brady and the Patriots:

“That’s bullcrap Tom…this ain’t political…say what it is…at the end of the day if you’re a Patriot for life then you know what it is.”
Highest passer rating under pressure in 2025 Wild Card…

Drake Maye has been a stud really since his first snaps of 2024.
He has had one of the great 2nd seasons in NFL history. He accounts for 74% of his teams total offense—THE MOST IN THE NFL.
If you’ve watched every snap you know that. It’s obvious. He’s been fantastic in so many ways.
He absolutely has become QB you win because of.
Since Dan wants context, just a reminder: not all 11+ win teams have good defenses so judging QB play based on their opponent’s win total means fuck all.
Anyways, here is Maye/Stafford H2H when facing top-10 defenses (by EPA) this season.
Drake Maye and Matthew Stafford vs. common opponents this season (CAR, NO, TEN, TB, BAL, ATL):
Maye:
6-0 record
117/170 (69%)
1,495 passing yards
13 TD
3 INT
259 rushing yards, 1 TD
Stafford:
4-2 record
129/182 (71%)
1,544 yards
14 TD
6 INT
-10 rushing yards, 0 TD
People who are using ANY NFL schedule as a means of discrediting a phenomenal season & an MVP case is ridiculous to me!! They are all NFL players… you play the teams on your schedule, when & where they tell you… each game has its own story… and the player who’s had the best season should win the MVP, period!!
There are so many factors we could use just for TDs:
What was avg distance of throw?
How much YAC on each?
Was guy wide open?
Did WR make a great catch?
How many atts inside 5 did a QB get?
Was it man (easier) or zone (more difficult)? How much did a QB throw in a blowout game?
They could all build a case… but again, you play the play… you play the game… and then we should watch it all & decide who has the best season!
