A section of the Hutt River Trail along Harcourt Werry Drive has begun eroding due to higher river levels. Greater Wellington Regional Council representatives are on site placing concrete blocks and fencing. A diversion is in place for cyclists and walkers.

In 12 months we have diverted 4,800 tonnes (7,104 elephants 🐘) of material from Silverstream Landfill with the introduction of our new kerbside collection service last year.
