For the last 48 hours, residents of Kawempe Ttula–Kinaawa, near Kinaawa High School, have been in darkness. Small businesses are losing income, food is spoiling, and daily life has been disrupted.
@UEDCLtd, we deserve timely communication and urgent action. Kindly restore power and update the community on the status of this outage.

I have always believed that corruption is not sustained by the people who steal alone, but also by a system that chooses who to punish and who to protect. When the public sees small offenders prosecuted while those accused of grand corruption remain untouched, confidence in our institutions erodes. The fight against corruption should not be a media event; it should be a consistent commitment to justice. If the law is truly blind, then it must apply equally to everyone, regardless of their rank, wealth or political connections.
If we’re serious about fighting corruption, we can’t stop at exciting the public with House arrests and headlines. People must be prosecuted and convicted so everyone learns the lesson. This habit of forgiving, only for them to fight us again later demoralizes every anti-corruption crusader. You can’t convict Nandutu over 300 iron sheets, then forgive the one who stole the entire economy. The law must apply equally big or small fish.
Did you ever hold, or do you currently hold, Canadian and/or Rwandan citizenship?
If you previously held another citizenship and have since renounced it in order to qualify for ministerial office, then the matter is straightforward: provide Parliament with documentary proof of the renunciation or cancellation.
There is no need to impute motives, allege hatred, or raise the political temperature over what is essentially a factual question. Public office carries public accountability, and questions about eligibility are legitimately answered with evidence. #UgandaGovernedByLaw

Today, we remember the courage, conviction, and sacrifice of the Uganda Martyrs. Their story continues to inspire generations to stand firm in their beliefs, uphold their values, and serve others with humility.
May this day be one of reflection, faith, unity, and hope for all Ugandans.
Happy Uganda Martyrs Day. 🇺🇬🙏
The message from Bank of Uganda is clear: Uganda’s future is digital.
By reducing cheque limits and capping large OTC cash withdrawals, BoU is encouraging businesses and citizens to embrace electronic payments, improve transparency, and modernize the financial system.
A major policy shift worth watching.

“This is to let you know that I am well, by the grace of God… We shall overcome. Remain strong.-Dr. Kizza Besigye, Luzira Upper Prison, 2 June 2016.
On the eve of Uganda Martyrs Day, we remember all who have endured suffering for what they believed to be right. The struggle for freedom is often costly, but courage leaves a lasting legacy. 🇺🇬🕊️

Hon Janet Kataha Museveni once again requested to be vetted on zoom but committee members objected. Speaker Oboth-Oboth tried twice to persuade members but failed. We are waiting to see what happens today; whether they are once again willing to bend the rules to accommodate Museveni family rule. For the entire five years, 2021-26, Kataha never stepped in parliament!
