At least when the Mongols invaded foreign nations, captured their leaders, and paraded them around before taking over control of their territories, they did so without the pretense of moral superiority, or the hypocrisy of a sermon on liberty.
Domination was named as domination, conquest as conquest, and power as naked force rather than dressed-up virtue. What is especially disgusting today is not merely the raw flex of power itself—history is thick with it—but the sanctimony that now accompanies it, the insistence that invading a foreign nation and politically abducting a sovereign ruler and his wife are somehow compatible with freedom, law, and a “rules-based order.”
The medieval conqueror at least spared the world the insult of euphemism; he did not claim to be rescuing democracy while dismantling it, nor did he demand to be praised by pretending to follow ethical and political laws. If in the past we considered barbarism to be displayed in the brutality of the act, modern barbarism lies in the lie itself: that domination can be laundered into justice so long as the brutal fist of empire merely claims to be following the very codes and Constitution that it constantly contravenes.
And the most pathetic aspect of it all? That so many people are willing to be deceived, knowing that they are being deceived, but still gullible enough to not see the destruction and chaos that their leader will continue to cause.
God help us all...
What looks like humiliation on the surface
Israel striking inside Qatar
is in fact the least costly and most controlled way for Doha to disentangle itself from Hamas.
Qatar has been boxed in for years, hosting Hamas gave it regional leverage, but also painted it as Hamas’s protector.
Exiling Hamas directly, on Qatar’s own initiative, would be read in the Arab street as Doha caving to US/Israeli orders.
That would strip Qatar of its prestige as an independent broker.
By allowing a calibrated Israeli strike on Hamas’s leadership in Doha, Qatar gains something crucial:
plausible deniability.
Now it can argue, “We did not betray Hamas, we were forced into this position because Israel violated our sovereignty.”
The decision to expel Hamas or shutter its offices no longer looks like Qatar’s choice, but like an unavoidable response to external aggression.
An aggression by Israel that will be widely condemned. Further mounting pressure on its wild behavior.
This flips weakness into a sovereignty defense. Qatar can frame the expulsion as necessary to protect its territory and citizens, not as betrayal of the Palestinian cause.
Hamas is weakened and delegitimized without Doha formally disowning the Palestinian struggle; the narrative remains that Qatar still supports Palestinian rights, just not by hosting a militant command center.
Now Egypt and Saudi can step into mediation roles, while Qatar pivots back to being a neutral host for talks rather than a patron. And no doubt Trump will enter the frame and spin a victory on it.
This is my analysis on the matter.
And this is good for palestine.
It means we are getting closer to settlement.
I can see a lot of hurling insults. Some of you holding back because of your faith, or because I’m Muslim.
No need to stand on ceremony or have faith hold you back.
Show some balls.
Let it out.
You can always repent later.
@FutPoliceLeaks ty, another question: advanced or tactical defending for 26? with all the buffs to stand tackling, I can see prioritizing tackles over physical bruiser challenges?
@ShahidkBolsen Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh brother Sahid.
Sorry layman here, what does this mean for the current situation? Also does boycotting help the Palestinians? We continue to do so, but are not sure if it makes any difference.
