A Myanmar military pilot, Pyae Phyo Aung, shamelessly took to TikTok to boast about carrying out an airstrike on a crowded civilian market in Rakhine State. The people of Myanmar deserve justice, not international silence.@UN@ASEAN#WhatsHappeningInMyanmar#Rakhine#WarCrimes
Myanmar: I am horrified by the latest military airstrikes on Rakhine State, which reportedly killed at least 50 people at a market. Refugees from Myanmar need to be protected, not forced to return. My statement today:

At least 50 people were killed and 58 injured in a Myanmar military airstrike near a market in Arakan Army-held Kyauktaw, Rakhine State, according to local rescue officials and the Arakan Army. The group warned of retaliatory action.

At least 50 civilians have been killed in another military airstrike in Rakhine State, #Myanmar.
The junta continues its brutal campaign against innocent civilians while desperately seeking international legitimacy through a sham parliament & government.
We urge again the international community to hold the junta accountable for these war crimes!

Another horrific regime air strike massacre in Myanmar. This is why calling on "both sides" to de-escalate is so absurd: only one side in this armed conflict is using fixed wing bombers to target civilians.
Stop normalizing it.
Stop legitimizing it.

Another junta massacre in #Myanmar.💔
Airstrikes on a market in Kyauktaw, #Rakhine State, killed at least 49 civilians & injured 58.
@ASEAN & the intl. community must hold the junta accountable.
❌ No silence.
❌ No impunity.

The air strike on Kyauktaw turned out to be a massacre. Rakhine media report at least 33 killed when the bombs hit the local market.
Pictures of dead and burned bodies are too gruesome to share unfiltered.
