It’s not perfect but the extraction nature is vastly different than a sandbox

progression is just chasing a carrot not gameplay.

If the core gameplay loop can’t stand on its own - that’s a boring game.

BC2 has limited progression
COD4 has limited unlocks

Just chasing gear unlocks that turn into power creep is insanely difficult to balance.

That game modes and sandbox are the experience not arbitrary unlock tree.
