I'm so proud of the pieces I've created. I know I'll have my big break one day and my small shop wont be so small. And I'll get custom orders and be able to create for many more people. Itll happen.โค
My toddler loves the classic blues clues. So I decide to check eb*y, see if I can find any cute pre loved fits or stuffys. Why the fck are ppl selling baby clothes for $200+ a piece? Are people paying this? This is absurd.
I see so many of the same resellers continuesly lower the price after months. So clearly what you're doing isn't fucking working? You're wasting your money, taking things from people who'd use them, for what?
Thrifting resellers always market their page as "getting pre loved clothes reloved" and then they buy all this stuff, over price it and it sits in their home unused... had you just left it at the thrift store, it could have gone to someone who needed it.
Everyone knows adoption is an option, they didn't fucking ask you, and it's manipulative to try and guilt someone into being an incubator for people looking to adopt.
And for any "well it's higher taxes" head asses, I will gladly continue to pay "higher" taxes for the rest of my life if it means every single person in our country gets equal access to Healthcare. And I am so thankful to every person that does the same for me and mine.
Each time I come across a tiktok of someone asking people to stay in order to help afford Healthcare my heart breaks. It shouldn't have to take views and an app to afford Healthcare, it should be a human right everywheres.
I genuinely can't imagine the immense heartbreak of living somewheres where I'd have to go into debt for Healthcare needs or just have to go without and suffer in silence.
I SEEN THIS AT THE THRIFT STORE LAST WEEK, IT WAS $3 I BELIEVE, NO TAXES AND YOURE CHARGING $20?????????? AHHH I HATE RESELLERS ๐ฉ I fucking knew when I seen it too that a reseller would love it, but hoped someone who needed it would get it first.
I just found a vintage eeyore stuffy in perfect condition for $1.75 I didn't need it but bought it just so that a reseller couldn't get their hands on it LOL guess I'll be turning one of my kids into an eeyore fan so they can enjoy it
Me at my employers: hey so I'm only able to work Saturdays and Sunday at the moment, I have to work around my partners mon-fri job, he starts at 7 everyday and someone needs to be home with the kids. So only slot me in on Saturdays and Sundays please.
My employers:
Stop supporting resellers lol, making a 'business' out of buying second hand clothes and then raising the price on them is gross. If you don't intend on buying it for yourself/family, leave it for someone who will.
I love sharing others art and small shops, I don't have the funds to buy from them all, but I sure as hell want to spread it in hopes it could reach more people who could buy.
Also, idk how good of a friend I can consider someone who doesn't even share my small business posts. Like that's literally the absolute least you could do in a way of supporting a small shop, and you won't even do that?
One of the coolest parts of owning a small shop is knowing thing you created with your own hands are all over the world. Like does the original purchaser still own it, is it being passed down, was it resold, lost, thrown out? My art could be anywhere, and that's really cool.
