@LukeGraham05 Luke, did you ever get any indication on what Lemay's injury was? I've been curious about whether the Caps sign him. (And of course, he can choose not to sign, and become a free agent in August.) TIA
@vzmercogliano Thanks for this detail, Vince, and great work on this story over the past week-ish.
Surely other teams were willing to offer him the same contract...? It's pretty damn reasonable for a guy like AP.
Just cancelled my @washingtonpost subscription after 25 years due to the elimination of sports content and other changes. I'll miss CWG but the Post no longer bears any resemblance to the critical institution I grew up reading. I encourage others to do the same.
@bitsdoer I think I'd read at some point that someone considered him NU's best defensive d-man.. so I kinda defaulted to using that for his role. But I know back in his USHL days he had good offensive skillsets too. Either way, appreciate the clarification.
@NHLFoley So, in the end, did the Caps looks smart on Lemay? ;) There's some chatter about whether or not he warrants an ELC after the season. Hard to gauge defensive d-men with the relative lack of public advanced stats (and TOI) in the NCAA.
@MerrittSmithCO@wyshynski The dumb thing is that the sources it cites don't make those claims. My exact Google search was "nhl players who played all 4 years in college" if anyone wanted to see the full bit with the sources.
@PuckPedia Out of curiosity, how often do you update players that are slide eligible? Specifically, whether or not they should be listed in contract counts right now based on where they're playing. Keep up the great site, thanks!
JUCO signee Denton Biller, who was selected in the 16th round of this month’s #MLBDraft, tells me he has decided to sign with the Orioles. That means the talented RHP won’t come to Arkansas.
We’re now waiting on just one more decision: https://t.co/9hPp2Z2lvQ #WPS
