@GadSaad Don't need to save it - I have agreed with you from day one and have been trying to get people to understand. People put their hands over the eyes and think the sun has disappeared.
That's the story. I may have messed up a date or two, and there were certainly other events like the PLO's breach of the Oslo Accords, but in large part that is how we got here. If you look back pre-1967, you will not find a Palestinian sovereignty movement in Gaza or WB. After the 6 Day War, Jordan, Egypt and Syria would not let the "Palestinians" back into their countries. Still won't.
Up until his death in 2004, Arafat actually did represent all Palestinian Arabs. Then his chief asst. Mahmoud Abbas took over. Israel withdrew completely from Gaza in 2005, leaving behind complete infrastructure, hot houses, development plans for the beachfront property on the Mediterranean, and an offer to help them develop it.
But that never happened. Because in 2006 the Palis in Gaza elected Hamas, a globally recognized terrorist organization, to govern Gaza instead of the more moderate Fatah. Hamas immediately started sending suicide bombers into Israel to murder civilians, and never stopped its terrorism from that point on, using international aid to build hundreds of miles of tunnels, buy missiles, buy infantry weapons, and letting the developed state Israel handed over to them rot.
What does Hamas, or Fatah, or Hezbollah, or Al-Qaeda, or any terrorist group have to do with it? When the Arabs realized they could not beat Israel in a war - having started 5 of them by 73, they shifted to two strategies - propaganda and terrorism. So in the early 70s you had plane hijackings and the massacre at the Munich Olympics.
@PharesLesl70438@RayFromNYCity@BenKram5@LaibelWeiner Walk me through how a genocide occurs in a population that has grown by significant metrics over the last 20 years. And use the true legal definition of genocid, not whatever you watched on tik-tok.
@neothin@catarinaaba@FlyTPA Right? Convenient, rarely full, bathrooms, vending, same distance - never understand the idiots on the shoulder flashing hazards.
@WellsJorda89710 As I recall, no Israeli PM has ever kept thier position after a war. Too many variables to deal with - someone always gets upset and goes after them. Bibi will see this through - but I doubt he holds on to his position after.
@porterstansb@tbpringle Is the high school in Florida? My kids (well out of high school), went to one of the top 3 schools in the state. Although it routinely turns out grads who go to Ivy, U Chicago, MIT, etc., I was happy to see a large number of grads going to UF this year.
@landofthe80s The best character he played - O.W. Shaddock in "North Dallas Forty"! And of course it's University of Tampa Spartan football alum John Matuszak
They were Arabs living in the British Mandate of Palestine. Most of them were Egyptian, Syrian, Jordanian. No one referred to them as โPalestiniansโ until the late 60s/early 70s after the 6 Day War and the Khartoum Resolution. Do some research on KGB Operation SIG - the whole โPalestinian displacement/sovereigntyโ narrative was created by the KGB. https://t.co/gHJV6e1Sqp
