Posting this again. The NHL should go to a 62 game schedule. Play Wednesday and Saturday's. Play each team twice (home and away). Playoffs would be top 16 teams as the schedule is balanced. This would lend to better Cup match-ups. I am thinking NY vs NY, Mtl vs Tor, Col vs Edm.
@Sid_Seixeiro Sid you know the answer to this...and it is easy. Turk Broda. He is better than Bower. Check the stats and records. Although Auston is on his way to being the best ever.
@ChefReactions Congrats on the transition, although I loathe that I found you, because now as I stumble around the kitchen cooking, I have your voice in my head telling me how bad I am. 10 out of 10. Will continue watching the content.
This is the same league that allows players to punch each other in the head with forceful strikes, using theirs fists as weapons to exact retribution, but if Reilly fought, he probably gets zero games.
I understand Reilly deserved to be suspended but 5 is excessive....from NHL player safety. "this is not a hockey play. This is an intentional, forceful strike to an opponent's head, using a stick as a weapon to exact retribution on an opponent well after a goal is scored,"
I can't wait for the College football fans to be like "we told you" when Georgia pounds FSU not realizing that Georgia has everyone playing while all of FSU's best players are getting ready for the draft and opted not to play.
FSU you got robbed today. The #1 ranked Wolverines had 60 yards passing in a game 4 weeks ago and were applauded for it. That same Michigan team had 213 total yards in the Big Ten Championship game, FSU had 219 total yards in the ACC Championship. Tell me how it makes sense.
1 of 4) I know this will never happen but shouldn't the NHL go to a English Premier style of schedule. With 32 teams they could go to a 62 game schedule with each team playing a home and away game. The season would start in September and end in March.
4 of 4) You could also go three points for a regulation win, two points for a OT win and 1 point for an OT loss. A reduced schedule is never going to happen but it probably should. The NFL, F1 and EPL all thrive by having less games. It gives you more to look forward to.
3 of 4) It would be better for the fans and players. I believe the build up to each game on Wednesday and Saturday would benefit the game. You would probably have less injuries so the stars would play more. It would also keep most teams in the playoffs.
