What is a bid-ask spread?

🫤 The difference between the highest price a buyer is willing to pay and the lowest price a seller is willing to accept.
😤 A non-trivial percentage of a trade’s value that goes into the pocket of market makers.
😬 A measure of a market’s liquidity (or lack thereof).
