📝Adding my two cents to this topic:
"Sick of" might not be the best expression. I try to help anyone who needs help or advice - regardless of their school, club, organization, title, level - because it is the right thing to do.
At the same time, I appreciate everyone who has taken the time to reply to my messages. To be honest, there were more unread or unanswered messages than people might expect. But since I can’t control that, I don’t waste my energy or time on it...
Of course, there are levels to the amount of information I give or the energy I spend answering a request. That depends on the depth of our relationship but I always try to give at least something.
Another factor is that working for a club gives me limitations on how much I can share. Most information is internal and since the club pays me for my knowledge/expertise, it wouldn't be fair to share that same information with others for free.
However, what I am slowly becoming "sick of" is the expectation to get all the information from various scouts - whether here on X or elsewhere - for free. Many of us have spent days, weeks, months and even years following these players in our free time, out of passion without being paid for it.
I am grateful to work for an organization and getting paid for what I do, there aren't many positions like this in Europe - although I believe many organizations would need one - but many great scouts never get that opportunity.
They often offer consulting services but we run into the same problem again: clubs/schools/coaches (unfortunately) aren't willing to pay much for the services but expect all the information to be given out to them for free.
I am giving you an advice here: do your research, subscribe to a consulting service, treat it as an investment and you will see the value. It is a bargain compared to the money most organizations spend (or better said - waste) on signing the wrong players.
My NBA international scouting friends are sick of the these young college assistant coaches texting and asking if a certain international player is good enough. They get an answer & the scout doesn’t hear from them for three months. Not a way to develop relationships. 🤷🏼♂️🏀👍🏼
Od 14 lat pracuję w NBA.
Bardzo często dostawałem pytania:
„Jak naprawdę wygląda scouting?”
„Na co zwracać uwagę podczas oglądania meczu?”
„Jak wejść do tego świata?”
Dlatego stworzyliśmy kurs Fundacji @f_nextdraft - maksymalnie praktyczny i oparty na realnym doświadczeniu.
BRON mladih Zmajev je nov mejnik v zgodovini našega kluba in v slovenski košarki. 🔥
To je namreč prva uvrstitev med najboljše tri ekipe v Ligi ABA U19 za slovenske kolektive! 🐉

Good (international) scouting is a huge difference maker!
I find it absurd that many teams (or clubs) prefer to gamble huge money on players instead of investing in proper scouting. 🤯
Making an even bigger throwback with this one - 7th March 2020.
Anybody recognizes these two players?
To all the doubters that don’t believe me that I put in the work and watched the Slovenian players that are coming “out of nowhere now” for 5+ years
Ilirija and Sežana fighting for the last spot at Slovenian U15 Final8.
Mark Padjen (2006), Ian Lazarevski (2007) and Stefan Joksimović (2008) the most interesting prospects on this match.
✍️ Zvezdan Mitrović ostaja z nami do 2028!
Glavni trener Cedevite Olimpije je podaljšal pogodbo s klubom do konca sezone 2027/28.

There aren't many players out there who can score 30+ points and make it look as easy and effortless as MMM does.
That is a special talent and you just can't teach that! 🔥🐉

The 6’6 wing is one of the best scorers playing overseas and should be a priority scout for colleges this cycle. Elite production at 19 years old
Great day for French big man Cameron Houindo at Basketball Without Borders All-Star Camp.
The 6'10", 243-pounder showed his athleticism, skill, and inside-out scoring ability for the many NBA scouts courtside.
