After rewatching the film, Hackett's designs in the passing games were actually pretty good. People were open consistently. An average QB has a great game yesterday. I was a little too hard on him.

That said, his decisions with snaps and the stubborn 1st down running were still very bad. He's overusing players who are playing poorly, and the run game had no shot because he chose to continue running on 1st down when the box had more defenders than blockers.

Both can be true: he's getting severely hamstrung by a bad QB, but there are also still some things he can be doing much better.

Overall though, I put the vast majority of yesterday's offensive performance on ZW over Hackett.
