The biggest misconception about it is, it forces you on another plan. It doesn’t, it just fully subsidizes your plan already so it’s no cost. Plus, it does more than current plans, as in page 2.

@nope__nope__ugh @ettingermentum Tuition free college for poorer kids isn’t really progressive. It’s pretty conservative compared to the rest of the world. Even moderate dems like Obama and Biden were pro-universal community college, even Rubio was (at least).

California use to have tuition free college, Reagan reversed that. Steyer said he’ll work to bring it back, but voters rejected him because “he a billionaire”. And apparently Xavier can “take on Trump”.

One reason I think California isn’t as progressive, many politicians keep rejecting the Cal-Care.
