Project update: https://t.co/u9G97A9Qvp
Note that I'm moving the project's social presence to a self-hosted mastodon instance because I cannot deal with Twitter anymore. I'll keep cross-posting all updates here probably for quite a while.
@turtlapp I love Turtl, it's been in my life for some years now and works like a charm :) Thank you for making secure note-taking possible with an open source tool
Syncing is back up and running! This affected people who had uploaded files, which were getting stuck.
You can now upload files to your heart's content, and previously "stuck" sync queues should begin processing again automatically.
Sorry for the trouble!
@rrankosiyabo Kind of. If you use the "stay logged in" feature (or just keep the app open), then you can use it offline as long as you're logged in already.
Logging in requires a connection, but everything else can be done offline.
@sproid Yeah, I feel like the name accurately describes my dev pace on it XD. Really though, this project has been around for over a decade. Definitely slow and steady. I've got some bigger updates in the works, including polish =]
Turtl's core library received an audit from a community member, Johannes (@hybridkey)!

Thank you, Johannes!
Hi, android users. Just updated our SSL certificate for the main Turtl API to no longer use Let's Encrypt. I spent a lot of time trying to get it to work, but their recent change (https://t.co/lP556MRblB) has broken many things, so I'm going back to the old fashioned way.
Give it a shot and let me know how it works. Note that this change should really only affect older android devices, newer ones seemed to be working fine and should still work fine.
@dogs1aughter Odd, I've mostly been getting reports about Android. I'm surprised desktop is affected.
Can you do me a favor and try again and let me know if it's working now?
We're having issues with our SSL/TLS certificate (on Android devices only). This issue is being tracked here: https://t.co/y3NJ0JEoZn.
Will update when I have more info or a fix. Sorry for the trouble, everyone.
