India’s @LarsenToubro signs a 5-year ‘Master Shipyard Repair Agreement’ (#MSRA) with the #UnitedStates making L&T’s Kattupalli Shipyard near Chennai the first master shipyard in India for resupply, repairs and refits to #USNavy ships. As part of the agreement, the ‘USNS Salvor’ docked at #Kattupalli for repairs.

The development is part of the US plan to have naval logistics hubs in India to counter China and one of the several positive outcomes of the recent #PMModiUSVisit. @USNavy is close to finalizing more such deals with two other shipbuilders in Mumbai & Goa.

At a time when China is trying to dominate #IndoPacific, this agreement fills a huge gap for US in naval readiness as it is the first US naval logistics hub between Australia and #DiegoGarcia near Mauritius. For India, it marks a global recognition of its advanced capabilities and facilities in #ShipMaintenance & repairs.

स्थानिक रहिवाशांना होतोय नाहक त्रास.
गेले दोन महिने स्थानिक रहिवासी सदर प्रकरणाची मुंबई पोलीस तसेच महा-पालिकेला सतत तक्रार करत असून अद्याप कुठलीही कारवाई होत नाही त्यामुळे प्रशासनाने आम्हाला वाऱ्यावर सोडले का??
