This exquisite head of the young Tutankhamun shows him being reborn from a blue lotus, symbolic of rebirth and immortality. This lovely head was one of the first objects found by Howard Carter.

This beautiful replica sits in our treasury room.

The scene represented on the Throne is that of a young Tutankhamun throne facing his queen Ankhesenamun. She is affectionately anointing his shoulders with scented oil.
