@piala_talk There are nearly 300 million people in the country, yet they can’t even find enough football players domestically. How low-quality must the population be? 🤣

#Thailand 🇹🇭: Islamist Patani group “National Revolutionary Front” (#BRN) attacked a checkpoint and killed at least Five Thai Rangers in Ra-ngae, Narathiwat.
Attackers seem to be armed with a possible M16A1 (Colt 653) pattern carbine with 11.5" barrel, pistol and AK / AR rifles.
@ifm0hifm0h@ArmataAPU The ceasefire has been in place for several months now, but the conflict has moved to the internet instead. Many Cambodians still like to make boastful videos as usual, but when it comes to actual fighting, they tend to portray themselves as victims, just like before.
🇹🇭🇺🇸 THAILAND EYES HIMARS AFTER ROCKET THREATS, ARMY MOVES TO UPGRADE FIREPOWER
Tensions in Southeast Asia are pushing Thailand toward a major military upgrade.
The Royal Thai Army is planning to procure advanced rocket artillery under its 2027 defense budget, following concerns over heavy rocket attack capabilities from across the Cambodian border.
At the center of the discussion is the US made M142 HIMARS, a highly mobile, precision strike system that has gained global attention in modern conflicts.
🚩 Why HIMARS is leading:
• Long-range precision strike capability
• Rapid “shoot-and-scoot” mobility
• Proven effectiveness in real combat scenarios
A selection committee is currently comparing it with China’s SR-5 Multiple Rocket Launcher and Thailand’s domestic DTi D11A.
However, Thai media reports suggest HIMARS is the most likely choice, hinting at a possible strategic lean toward Western systems.
◽Bigger picture: This move isn’t just procurement, it’s about deterrence and staying ahead in a rapidly evolving regional security environment.
If approved, Thailand would join a growing group of countries investing in precision rocket systems as the dynamics of warfare continue to shift.
#Thailand 🇹🇭: A new photo posted by a Royal Thai Army soldier armed with a quite notable hardware.
The Thai soldier is carrying a Sig Sauer SIG M400 rifle; fitted with #Israel-made 🇮🇱 Smart Shooter “SMASH 2000L (3000)” AI-powered Fire Control System.
