The Turkish government, which aspires to become one of NATO's central powers rather than a mere periphery, is striving to demonstrate how ready it is to assume this role by trying to prevent the slightest murmur against the imperialists.

Mao Zedong, Marksizmin devrimci diyalektiğini başarıyla devraldı ve işletti. İktidarın namlunun ucunda olduğunu söylerken, çağının Marksistlerinin önemli kısmı onu bir haydut olarak değerlendiriyordu.+
Some commentators are trying to respond to Turkish journalists’ recent reports from the Uyghur Autonomous Region by repeating claims that cannot be backed by solid sources, such as the dystopian claim of a social credit system. Bruno Guigue had already clarified the mythical nature of the claims about #China’s “social credit” system with strong documentation.

📌The “humanity” of Western civilization is represented in the #Sumud Flotilla sailing across the Mediterranean toward #Gaza. If it is to be given a religious name, this courageous initiative belongs to the Christian West.
📌Despite the fact that many #Muslims are also part of the #Sumud Flotilla and that #Tunisia has opened its ports to it, this honorable initiative undoubtedly belongs to Western civilization.
📌Where, then, is Islam—what is called Eastern civilization—on these great days of trial? If it represents ethical values, Islam lives today only and solely in the child of Gaza who refuses to surrender, in the fighter who struggles with perseverance.
📌There is, today, no theoretical or faith-based bond that can unite the hypocritical cowardice of the states in Muslim countries—and the blindness of the millions of their people—with the Islam of those in Gaza who refuse to surrender.
📌Hatred toward Israel for Gaza is incomplete, misguided, and deceived if it is not also directed at one’s own state that does not use its state power to stop #Israel.
Biggest mission ever is sailing to break the siege of Gaza with dozens of boats and massive demonstrations in more than 44 countries! ️ ⛴️
On August 31st the Global Sumud Flotilla will launch dozens of boats from Spain that will be joined by dozens more from Tunisia and other ports from September 4th before heading to Gaza to break the siege and open a humanitarian corridor!
This initiative is mobilizing more than 44 countries to have simultaneous demonstrations, encampments, direct actions and educational activities while the boats are at sea. Anyone can register to participate until August 16th!
Share and join this initiative. Generations to come will speak of this moment and we cannot be silent while the people in Gaza are suffering genocide and ethnic cleansing. The people of the world will mobilize in solidarity until Palestine is free! 🇵🇸

📌 Glory to the People's Republic of #China and to the Communist Party of China on the 80th anniversary of its victory against Japanese imperialism. The leadership of the #CPC stood on the right side of history in 1945, and it still does today...

In #Israel's attack, eight ministers, including #Yemen’s Prime Minister, were martyred.
Despite not having full sovereignty over Yemen, the Ansar Allah movement has chosen to defend #Gaza against Israel for nearly two years, following its ideological principles. Ansar Allah is unique in how it mobilizes its very limited state power to support the struggle of the oppressed against #Zionism.
Those who view Ansar Allah as a puppet of another country overlook the movement’s strong ideological foundation. Today, Yemen should be considered a revolutionary state of the oppressed, and communists should support it as such, without expecting it to be communist.
It's now been confirmed: Yemeni Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahhawi was assassinated in an IDF airstrike on Sana'a two days ago.
He was killed alongside a number of state ministers during what Yemen's presidential office says was a routine government workshop.
📌With the victory won on August 30, 1922, the #Turkish War of #Independence came to an end. Thus, the contradiction between national forces and the #imperialist front ceased to be the main contradiction.
📌While August 30 marked, in strictly military terms, the defeat of the Greek army, politically it was unquestionably a victory against the #imperialist camp.
📌 After this victory, the occupying imperialist forces in Istanbul and Thrace had to withdraw. The British forces withdrew as a result of war fatigue, political discord in the London government, and Mustafa Kemal’s willingness to compromise.
📌 The Turkish War of Independence did not represent a coherent or vigorous #antiimperialism; yet, however limited, it did possess an anti-imperialist character. This distinction is of categorical importance.
📌 Led by the Turkish ruling classes, the War of Independence unfolded in parallel with the suppression of #Kurds and other peoples. Therefore, it cannot be regarded as an example of Turkish-Kurdish solidarity.
📌 The leadership of the War of Independence prevented #communists from taking part under their own banner, and the war unfolded in parallel with their repression.
📌 The War of Independence was, without doubt, historically progressive. But it was not the communists’ war. This distinction, too, is categorically important.
📌 With the conclusion of the War of Independence, the target of revolutionary struggle within the country became entirely the internal ruling classes—namely, #Kemalism, which had come to dominate the state.
📌 Yet, the actual political significance of August 30 is shaped by the masses and broad democratic circles, who today embrace this historical day as a powerful symbol in their struggle against the government that dominates the entire state apparatus.

📌 The #socialist experiences of the last century had many shortcomings, and these experiences—of immense historical significance for humanity—collapsed precisely because they could not overcome their flaws.
📌Yet nothing can obscure the fact that socialist countries, especially the #Soviet Union, achieved social and economic advances far beyond what #capitalist countries had accomplished.
📌Socialist countries made remarkable social progress. Their citizens’ daily lives were largely spared the severe anxieties that afflict people in capitalist societies—concerns about the future, unemployment, healthcare, and access to education.
📌In a remarkably short time, socialist societies built the economic base needed to ensure a secure life for their people. Citizens of these countries never experienced the severe inequalities or daily oppressions that are routine in capitalist or class-based societies.
📌When compared to the harsh realities faced by large segments of the population in the capitalist world, especially in the United States, such as unemployment, financial struggles, paid healthcare, unequal education, and difficulties in caring for children and the elderly, the importance of these achievements becomes strikingly clear.
📌 Some #Marxists tend to romanticize these socialist experiences. This method cannot be dismissed, for it is one way to embrace our history. Yet our relationship with the socialist past should not be built solely on such romanticization. The most appropriate approach is one that recognizes these unique experiences in their full complexity—both positive and negative—and draws lessons from them.
📌 Indeed, despite their significant achievements, these countries faced major problems: economic stagnation that could not be overcome following initial high growth, the inability to develop productive forces at the desired pace, the transformation of the state into a bureaucratic and cumbersome apparatus, and the ossification of communist parties, which often lost their ideological dynamism.
📌Analyzing the socialist experiences of the last century—primarily the Soviet Union—through the lens of contemporary political divisions is anachronistic. The divisions of that era were not entirely meaningless; they had significant political and ideological repercussions. Yet from today’s perspective, these divisions belong to history and must be studied as historical phenomena.
📌Countries ranging from the #Soviet Union to #China, from #Cuba to #Albania, and from #NorthKorea to #Yugoslavia—all with undeniable differences but all part of the history of socialist experiences—must be studied within their historical context. Some displayed relatively positive outcomes, others more negative; together they form our shared history. All of these countries experienced the “first phase of socialist experiences” initiated by the Soviet Union, and most concluded this phase in collapse. Today, North Korea stubbornly continues the first-phase model with resilience and persistence.
📌#China has embarked on a second phase of socialist experiences, taking significant risks, and today the People’s Republic of China is successfully advancing this second phase with approaches and methods distinct from the first. #Vietnam, #Laos, and #Cuba are following a path inspired by this pioneering experience.
📌Just as the first phase of socialist experiences achieved great gains while generating serious problems, the second phase also displays remarkable successes while confronting significant challenges and risks.
📌#Marx and #Marxism never imagined socialism as a paradise. #Socialism is a long, winding, steep and thorny path toward a better society.
