@EvanFeigenbaum I think folks are looking in vain for coherence in Trump’s foreign policy. He wants the U.S. to dominate the Western Hemisphere but he would never publicly admit to allowing a similar Chinese (or Russian) sphere of influence. But he likely would tacitly tolerate such spheres.
