The baseball gods were ON the Cubs side.
Two pitches before Ben Zobrist’s go-ahead hit in the 10th, Cleveland shifted off the 3rd base line, opening up just enough room.
WHAT A MOMENT 🎬 @CoronaUSA
I get a lot of questions from new collectors.
One of the most common?
If I get the game worn jersey signed, will it add value?
The answer is no.
If you want to get it signed, go for it, but OG collectors prefer to keep their game worn jerseys in the condition they receive them.
If the player takes the jersey off, and then signs it, that is fine.
Or if it is a controlled situation where you know you are getting a perfect signature, that is somewhat OK also.
But bringing game worn jerseys to settings where the player signs fast, and can ruin the item with chicken scratch, is too risky, and ultimately frowned upon by major collectors.
Heavy inscriptions are also frowned upon. Especially the kiss of death, the “game used” inscription on jerseys. The game used balls I don’t mind heavy inscriptions.
Here is a terribly forced inscription on a Cooper Flagg game worn jersey. Clearly not something he thought of on his own. Would have been better without it!
When Cubs players were meeting during the 2016 Game 7 rain delay, they told Tim Buss to stay in the room.
Just one example of how much Bussy meant to that team 🔥

I hope Stacey is remembered as a man of the people. He would stay for 45 minutes to an hour after games every night for 20 years in order to take pictures and meet Bulls fans.
