Smartphones are the lifeline for migrant workers to connect with their families back home. Many have phones with broken screens and bloated batteries that they can't afford to replace.
They gifted Debbie a beautiful pencil sketch of the Little India shophouse where TWC2's shelter and meal programme is based at, and this drawing now adorns the wall of #twc2sg's office.
Several students from Bukit Panjang Government High School's Student Council and others visited TWC2 earlier this year for a meaningful and eye-opening visit that gave them new knowledge of the challenges that migrant workers face.
On 16 September they gave a presentation at the school’s morning assembly, and interviewed TWC2’s president Debbie Fordyce. They also prepared posters based on their research on migrant workers and invited responses from fellow students.
